Application


Its main application is as raw material for the production of electrolytic copper rods, copper shields, and in the composition of a series of alloys.



Production Process




The metallurgic process adopted aims at the copper extraction in form of cathode, starts with copper concentration to obtain anodes with 99.5% purity, for which high temperatures are used in the processes of fusion, conversion, and refining on fire. Following, the copper anode is sent to the electrolysis area, where copper goes through a purifying process named electrolytic refining after which the cathode of high purity levels is obtained.



Physical Characteristics




990 sheets, sized 10,0mm x 970 10,0mm and 5 a 25mm thick.



Packing and Transport




Because it has the same properties as the copper rods, its transport follows the same procedures applied to that product. For packaging, the cathodes are piled and belted.
